Parking Wars

About the Show

Illegal parkers beware! The ticket-writers, tow truck drivers, and booters are back with hilarious confrontations and even more unpredictable battles in a third season of A&E's beloved series Parking Wars®. It's bigger and better than ever with twice the drama as we return to the City of Brotherly Love and take to the streets of a new town, Detroit, where cars mean everything.

Returning are your favorite officers from the Philadelphia Parking Authority for more outrageous encounters with unrestrained citizens. Young Mike is hit with more insults than flirtations; Brian doles out cranky comedic comments along with tickets; glamorous Marlene is now affectionately know as "hairspray" on the beat; and former "meter-maid" Jeff is now a supervisor leading his own team of wide-eyed rookies through the mean streets of Philly. At the impound lot, supervisor Yolanda battles with over-the-top owners who furiously demand their cars - even when they are not registered or insured. And of course, everybody's favorite booting team Garfield and Sherry return to face off with angry scofflaws - and each other.

In a brand new twist this season, "Parking Wars" also rides with the people we love to hate in very different city. The fearless ticket-writers and booters of Detroit's Municipal Parking Department are called every name in the book. Some try to run from them. Others try to run them over. Here, the ticket-writers all patrol from cars, allowing them to enforce in the busy downtown business district, the colorful shopping areas and the unpredictable residential neighborhoods all in a single shift. There's even a special handicap detail, patrolling the entire city looking only for cars illegally parked in handicap spots, a righteous mission for officer Sonjia, and an infuriating lesson for parkers punished with a $100 ticket. In Detroit, crews not only boot cars, but then return to the vehicles before the end of their shift to release them, either to the owner (if the tickets have been paid), or most likely to a waiting tow truck, resulting in twice the drama. It takes special people to take on the vocal and often aggressive citizens of Detroit, and the MPD officers fit the bill - from "Ponytail" with his thick gold chains and distinctive hairstyle, to the young cocky Robert, to the sensitive and compassionate Sonja. It's a tough town, but somebody has to enforce the rules, and this team of parking enforcement officers has the skills and attitude to get the job done.

Parking Wars Season 3 provides never-before-seen drama along with the great, unexpected humor fans of "Parking Wars" love. In Philly, police are called in when an enraged man threatens Jen and Mike with a rake as they boot his car, and Garfield and Sherry are stranded in the freezing cold when their boot van breaks down after a blizzard. In Detroit, booters Courtney and Sonjia are victims of a hit-and-run, Rodney and Michele catch a man red-handed removing the boot, and ticket-writer Robert nervously stands his ground when an aggressive man gets too close for comfort.
